It was around my 3rd year of university in Visual Design when a band mate and friend moved back to South Africa. When she moved back, she contacted me a months later that she was getting married and wanted me to do most of the graphics for her wedding. This initially became one of my first full-project clients for Brand Design, igniting in me a love for the field and laying the groundwork for the signature style that shows up in most of my work.
I also used this as the first and main piece of the portfolio required for me to graduate in my university.

Jade (bride) was a drummer, and so was Roscoe (groom). They both met at a wedding of a friend and found out that his middle name was also “Jade”. Through many similarities as well as faith, they dated for months before finally deciding to marry.

The logo includes the date and their name and initials. I did a few sketches until I landed on this simplified version.

The clients wanted the seating numbers done similarly to the logo. They had a designer on their end, so I was only asked to do an editable template for all the names in the board.
