Princess Coco is a handmade soap brand from Puerto Princessa, Philippines. It's soaps' main ingredients contain either three of the following: coconut oil, olive oil, and goats milk.
Princess Coco wishes to provide an affordable and healthy soap that is silky and smooth, and heals and nourishes the skin. It is also a non-toxic alternative, especially good for those with sensitive skin.
I was asked by a close relative to design a logo for her potential soap making business in Puerto Princessa, Philippines. She wanted a brand that could capture the culture in Puerto Princessa, Philippines.
I drew a few emblem sketches of the peacock symbol of Puerto Princessa, building on it to make it look very artistic. I was then given a feedback that they would like it more simplified.

Finally, I was able to arrive at a white peacock (female peacock) design, which can also be seen as a woman’s face with a crown. The three diamonds at the top indicates the three main ingredients of the soap, and the silky typeface portrays the smoothness of the soap.

The client wanted a sticker label that goes with their packaging. For this design, I used Bantayog font, a font made by a Filipino designer Jad Maza who greatly captured Philippine history in a typeface. I also suggested an elegant zig-zag fold for the craft paper to make the wrapping more elegant.
